2021 Essay Competition Winner
USEMS/FSEM 2021 Essay Competition Results
The USEMS/FSEM Essay Contest 2021, organised by the Undergraduate Sports & Exercise Medicine Society in partnership with FSEM, was won by Dr Alexandra Mundell for her essay “The Pandemic-driven Evolution of Sports and Exercise Medicine”. She received £100, conference entry, and publication support.
The runner-up was Dr Isobel Baxter, for her essay “Conservative management – not the right party line for modern sports and exercise medicine practice”, who received publication support.
The competition was open to undergraduates and recent graduates, inviting journal editorial-style essays on SEM topics. Results were announced on 8th April 2022.
